This video has seen almost 400,000 views. The production consists of a sheet of paper, a sharpie pen and a man’s hand. As we watch him go through the steps, he appears to prove that 1 = 2. I found myself unexpectedly interested in listening to an argument I knew had to be wrong. Though the math in my own background prevented me from being swayed, I can totally see how that sort of thing could be fun for a lot of people.
